Summer academySummer is often synonymous with family holidays, and the seaside, one of the must of the period!
One imagines an overwhelming heat in Egypt, and if this is true for the Nile valley where the desert surrounds the river, it is not the case off the Egyptian coast where a small breeze blows constantly and the sea remains the best place to cool off.
This is the right opportunity to discover the seabed with children!
Summer academy has been specially designed to welcome children with their parents.
Thanks to its easy and shallow dives, you can discover a variety of fauna and flora, enough to bring home unforgettable memories with your family!
You can enjoy the beautiful setting of the Red Sea with family thanks to the activities on board and accessible to all, kayaking to enjoy the landscape, snorkeling to go swimming with dolphins and meet small fish or board games with the family to have fun together.
You can also recharge your batteries with a nap on our deckchairs, or enjoy the jacuzzi overlooking the sea.
Even beginners, and from 10 years old, your children can do an Open water junior training (4 days) with our instructors on board.
For children from 8 to 10 years old, baptisms entitled "bubble maker " will be possible 1 to 2 times a day.
As for the other qualified divers, they can dive 3 times a day.
Day 1/ Sunday
We will start the cruise with an easy but interesting dive Abu Galawa Soraya
A wreck a 14m sailboat sunk twenty years ago at 16m starboard on the sand and hiding a myriad of glass fish.
We will continue the course of small coral potatoes rich in small fish, a block dotted with anemones before fleeing through a tunnel 4 m deep to land on a beautiful coral garden decorated with many pinnacles
Day 2/ Monday
Sha'ab Claudio and its large magnificent caves in the shape of cathedrals (maximum 9 m deep) that offer fairy lights. It is not uncommon in the morning to meet small white tip sharks at the bend of a gallery, and most of the time a huge napoleon walks under the boat. Again, we will finish the dive on a coral garden ranging from 5 to 20 m deep.
Sataya
Sataya is a huge reef more than 2 kilometres long. In summer, the water exceeds 33° in the lagoon.
This site is home to a colony of more than a hundred long-beaked dolphins (Stenella longirostris) often divided into several groups. Depending on the time of year, you can watch the baby dolphins evolve with their parents.
This site allows the snorkeling approach of these magnificent marine mammals. We will finish the dive on a beautiful coral garden at 5/8 m deep and beautiful schools of fish (cochet, mullet, trevally) and napoleons.
Day 3/ Tuesday
Malahi
consists of a maze of canyons where tunnels and potatoes will be on the menu (23m maximum depth). A shoal of cochet fish will watch you at the beginning of your dive There is a magical atmosphere with beautiful lights: also the paradise of photographers! Very often, schools of yellow-finned reds colonize the canyons. It is possible to see a turtle during the walk.
Sataya
We return to spend the afternoon at the Sataya Lagoon. We enjoy snorkeling with dolphins, admire the beautiful landscape of the spot and spend the night.
Day 4/ Wednesday
2 dives on Maksour similar plateau, but larger than Elphinstone, you can make 2 dives, one from the north by inflatable boat in direction of the south either from the East or West according to the currents, depth 20/25m and for diving to the south, you will find a good number of soft corals appreciated by turtles, it is likely that they will wait for you.
Two beautiful pinnacles richly garnished will help you pass your security level.
Sataya again We return to spend the afternoon at the Sataya Lagoon. We enjoy snorkeling with dolphins,
Day 5/ Thursday
Abu Galawa Kebir
Abu Galawa and its Chinese wreck of the Tienstin (sunk in 1947) landed on its starboard which goes from the surface to – 17 m at the stern.
A wreck about twenty meters exposed to currents that allow the colonization of corals, so much so that in places, it is impossible to discern the end of the wreck and the beginning of the reef.
But going to the other side, we will easily distinguish the captain’s cabin, the toilet and the hold of the boat.
Syial island
For the last afternoon at sea, we will offer you to spend the afternoon on a wild island. Enjoying putting your feet in the white sand and having a drink watching the sunset.
Day 6/ Friday
Gotta Even
If the main reef is not interesting the blocks that surround it merits to linger there by their colors and the small fish that are there.
Arrival on Marsa Alam will be on Friday afternoon.
Dinner and overnight in Marsa Alam, disembarkation is scheduled after breakfast around 10am on Saturday (for technical reasons, the last night from Friday to Saturday can be spent at the hotel). In case the departure would be from Marsa Alam, a rehabilitation dive in Shouna or Shaab Marsa alam.
The itinerary and dive sites given above are indicative, the number of interesting and varied dive sites is so important that we cannot indicate all the possibilities.
The captain and the dive manager will offer you the best of this region depending on weather conditions (wind, swell, currents, visibility) and air schedules.
